General Job Description This person will have an opportunity to lead a highly talented and motivated team responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting transaction data driven analytic solutions to business problems using the state-of-art technologies in machine learning, statistical modeling, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence. She/he will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, and success of employees in the group, and for carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with business objectives, organization's policies, and applicable laws. Role and Responsibility - Build and maintain a best-in-class analytics team, including hiring and retaining top talents, serving as mentor to and fostering the career development of team members, and providing criteria for the team to take responsibility, understand expectations, and succeed - Provide analytic leadership and guidance in managing analytic projects and deliveries, including framing business problems and architecting analytic solutions. Develop and implement practices and polices to ensure effective, efficient, and high quality analytics development and delivery. - Establish and cultivate collaborative and successful working relationships with all internal functional groups to achieve overall business successes. Maintain proactive and regular internal communication. - Build strong client relationship and maintain high level customer satisfaction by managing expectations and delivering high values. Provide senior level representation when needed for client interactions. - Drive innovations in analytic technology development and translate them into improvements in Fair Isaac products or tools. Participate in and contribute to the formulation and the execution of business strategies and vision, including development of new product offerings and enhancement of existing products. Required qualifications - MS or Ph.D in a science or engineering field - 7+ years of industry hands-on experience in development of analytic solutions, with a thorough understanding of the lifecyle of analytic model development, from problem identification to data understanding, model construction, packaging, deployment and support - 3+ years of experience in directly managing an analytic development team - Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms as well as to translate business problems into technical solutions - Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills - Proficient in Unix and at least one major programming language, such as C or Java, and at least one scripting language such as shell or perl Preferred qualifications: - Ph.D. in a science or engineering field - Strong working knowledge of payment card industry - Strong experience in developing analytic solutions for fraud preventions and detection
